Digital marketing in Santa Coloma: half an hour a week

The problem is almost never the budget. It is that whoever would have to do it is behind the counter from nine to nine.

Digital marketing in Santa Coloma de Gramenet looks nothing like marketing at a company with a department. Here it is done by the same person who opens, serves, takes the money and closes, in whatever time is left. So the useful question is not how much to invest: it is what actually fits into the time you have.

Santa Coloma, a city of one and two-person businesses

Services leave 1,435.7 million euros of added value a year in the city, according to the municipality in figures portal at Idescat, and nearly all of that fabric is small: shops, hospitality, trades and neighbourhood services.

There is another figure on the same page worth having in front of you: the city socioeconomic index sits at 81.4 against the Catalan 100. Translated into decisions, a euro of marketing does not stretch here the way it does in Sant Cugat, and that is why the order you spend in matters more than anywhere else.

The budget that is missing is not money

When we go through with a client why they do no marketing at all, «I have no money» is rarely the first answer. «I have no time» is, and behind it sits something more honest: they do not know what to do with the twenty minutes they do have, so they do nothing. What follows is the plan we give in that case.

Want to know what it would cost you?

We reply the same day. No commitment, no sales pitch.

Tuesday half hour

Pick a day and a fixed time, and put it in the phone like an appointment. Tuesday tends to work: Monday is full of whatever piled up over the weekend and Friday never arrives. Half an hour, with a «back in ten minutes» sign if need be.

The length is not the point; the point is that it is always the same slot. A business that posts four times a month, always in the same window, gets further than one that fires off a burst in January and disappears until June.

What marketing fits into that half hour

One photo from this week (5 minutes)

The finished job, the stock that just arrived, the window you have just dressed. On the phone, in daylight, no filters. No photo, no week.

One post on the Google listing (10 minutes)

It is what pays back most per minute in a local business, because it is seen by people already looking at you on the map. What to write and which button to use is in Google Business posts.

Answering reviews and pending messages (10 minutes)

All of them, the good ones too, and the ones that have been waiting for days. It is the half hour that saves the most sales, because there are people right there about to decide.

A two-minute voice note (5 minutes)

Record yourself answering a question somebody asked you that week. That becomes the article of the month without you writing anything; the whole method is in website copy.

An alarm clock next to a notebook: the weekly half hour set aside for the business

An example month, in four slots

Here is how a month looks for a neighbourhood shop around here, with the details changed. Tuesday one: a photo of the new stock and a post saying it has arrived. Tuesday two: the question they get asked most («do you do alterations?»), answered in five lines. Tuesday three: a finished job, with the before and after. Tuesday four: next month special opening hours and a good review answered by name.

Four posts, none of them invented, all about things that were already happening at the counter. That is the trick: it is not about creating content, it is about telling what you already do.

What does not fit, and has to be delegated or dropped

Being honest about this saves frustration. Half an hour a week does not cover setting up and watching paid campaigns, editing video, writing a long article, or running four social networks with different content on each. If any of that is needed, it gets delegated or postponed; what does not work is putting it on the list and dragging it around for six months.

And if there is budget, in what order do you spend on digital marketing?

  • The Google listing, spotless. It is free and it is what decides when somebody searches nearby. How it is worked is in SEO in Santa Coloma.
  • Your own page, even just one. What you sell, where you are, opening hours and a WhatsApp button. We cover it in web design in Santa Coloma.
  • Steady content, little and always: the weekly post and one article a month.
  • Paid advertising, last. Before paying for visits it is worth having somewhere for them to land and somebody to answer.

That order is not an aesthetic opinion: the first three keep working when you stop paying, and the fourth switches off the day you close the campaign.

Free training that is actually useful

If you would rather learn than delegate, there is good free material. Google runs free digital marketing courses with certificates, in Spanish and in short modules that fit neatly into that same half hour. And for retail, the Catalan consortium for retail, crafts and fashion publishes services, advice and support programmes that hardly anybody looks at.

How long it takes to show

At this pace the first signals come in weeks rather than days: more calls from the listing and more people arriving saying «I saw you on Google». What genuinely takes time is the articles, which start bringing visits from the second or third month. If somebody promises you results in a fortnight on half an hour a week, they are selling smoke.

What to check each month, without a dashboard

Four numbers and a notebook. Calls from the listing. People asking for directions. Messages or forms received. And of those, how many became a sale. If the third goes up and the fourth does not, the problem is not the marketing: it is what happens when they write, and that is in how fast you reply.

What digital marketing costs if we run it

Our prices are published, VAT on top and with no lock-in. The presence plans are 400, 750 and 1,500 € a month and include 3, 5 or 7 articles on your site and as many posts on your listing, with every review answered. If what is missing is the website, Tu Landing is 100 € a month and Tu Web 200 €, with domain, hosting, email and maintenance inside.

One detail worth being clear about: advertising spend is not included in the fee. What you pay for is the management; what Google or Meta take you put in separately and you decide how much. On digital marketing we explain how we work.

With clients who have little time the arrangement is simple: you send a photo and a voice note on WhatsApp when you can, and we take care of the rest. If you want to start with the free part, tell us your business name and we will tell you what your listing is missing, with no commitment.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about digital marketing in Santa Coloma de Gramenet

How much does digital marketing in Santa Coloma de Gramenet cost?+

The prices are published and they do not change by town: the presence plans are 400, 750 and 1,500 euros a month plus VAT, with no lock-in, and include 3, 5 or 7 articles on the site and as many posts on the Google listing, with reviews answered. If what you need first is the website, the one-page landing is 100 euros a month and the site with up to ten pages is 200. Advertising spend, if there is any, is separate.

I only have half an hour a week. Does that really do anything?+

More than you would think, as long as it is the same half hour every week. That slot covers a photo of the week job, a post on the Google listing, answering reviews and pending messages, and a two-minute voice note that later becomes the article of the month. What does not work is the January burst: four posts in a row and six months of silence.

What do I do first if I can only spend around 200 euros a month?+

Sort out the Google listing, which is free, and get your own page with the basics: what you sell, where you are, opening hours and a WhatsApp button. On that budget, in our plans that is Tu Web, which includes domain, hosting, email, maintenance and one article a month. Paid advertising we would leave for later: before paying for visits it is worth having somewhere for them to land and somebody to answer.

Do I have to be on every social network?+

No, and in a one-person business trying is the fastest way to abandon everything. Pick one, the one your customers already use, and post little but always. In a neighbourhood shop the Google listing also pays back more per minute than any social network, because it is seen by people deciding right now where to go.

Is paid advertising worth it in a town this small?+

It depends what you sell and whether the earlier steps are done. In urgent services (a breakdown, a locksmith) ads can pay off from month one. In neighbourhood retail, as dense as this place is, listing work, reviews and content almost always pay back more, and they keep working when you stop paying. If campaigns are run, the spend is separate from the fee and you decide it.

I do not like being in photos or videos. Is there an alternative?+

Yes, and it is more common than it looks. You can work with photos of the product, the finished job, hands at work or the premises, and with text written from your voice notes. A face helps build trust, but it is not essential; what is essential is real photos of your business instead of stock images.

Does the agency have to be in Santa Coloma?+

No. The listing, the website, the content and the follow-up run just as well remotely, and you send us the photos on WhatsApp when you have them. We are in Palamós and we have worked with businesses across the metropolitan area for years. What you should insist on, wherever the agency is, is that they show you each month what they did and which numbers moved.
