SEO in Sabadell: one page per service

Most websites around here have a "Services" section with seven things inside it. Google cannot tell which one to show it for, so it shows it for none.

Of everything we review on a website, one fault comes up more than any other and almost nobody looks at it: the structure. SEO in Sabadell does not stall for lack of keywords or because of some exotic technical problem. It stalls because the business sells seven things and has put them all on the same page.

Sabadell: plenty of demand spread across small businesses

Sabadell has 224,589 inhabitants in a tight municipal boundary, with a density of 5,943.1 people per square kilometre. It is the capital of Vallès Occidental and people sort out almost everything here without heading down to Barcelona. The figures come from Idescat's municipality-in-figures portal.

The detail that matters most here: 12,020 of the city's registered jobs are in workplaces with up to nine employees, and the property, technical and administrative activities block generates 1,446.3 million euros of added value a year, ahead of retail. In plain terms: thousands of practices, workshops, clinics and service firms of three or four people, each doing several different things and competing with one another.

And when a small business does several things, the website almost always ends up the same: a home page, a contact page and a "Services" page with a list.

Why one page with every service does not rank

Google does not rank websites, it ranks pages. When somebody searches "blind repair Sabadell", the search engine tries to show the page that answers exactly that. If yours covers blinds, awnings, insect screens, locksmithing, glazing and maintenance in the same place, it answers exactly nothing.

Three things happen, and all three work against you:

  • The title and the address can only say one thing. If the page is called "Services", that is what Google reads. Nobody searches for "services".
  • The text gets divided up. Fifty words per service is not enough to compete with somebody who has given that service a whole page.
  • Your own pages compete with each other. When the home page and the services page cover the same ground, Google picks one and sometimes picks wrong.

Splitting is not cosmetic. It turns one page competing in one race into seven pages competing in seven different races, each of them easier than the general one.

How SEO in Sabadell is done, step by step

One page per service, named after it

Each service gets its page, its address with the word inside it and its own title. Not /services/, but /blind-repair/. The word the customer uses, not the trade's own. And if you are not showing up for any of them right now, start with why your website does not appear on Google.

What a service page that ranks in Sabadell has inside

Four paragraphs will not do it. What we see paying off in this area:

  • What you actually do, in the words the person phoning you actually uses.
  • Who for: private customers, residents' associations, companies. Different price, different text.
  • What it costs, or at least a range and what moves it.
  • Realistic timescales and what happens when it is urgent.
  • Two or three finished jobs with your own photos and the street or neighbourhood where they were.
  • The usual questions, the ones you already answer twenty times a month on the phone.
  • A visible WhatsApp button, not a form buried at the bottom.

The area goes inside the page, not on a page of its own

Here is the trap. The temptation is to clone the page and swap "Sabadell" for "Barberà", "Sant Quirze", "Castellar" or "Badia". Those are doorway pages, and Google goes after them: it says so in its Search spam policies. What does work is a single page per service that mentions where you work naturally and says something different about each place, because there genuinely is something different to say.

The Google profile wants the services listed separately too

What happens on the website happens on the map as well. The business profile lets you list services one by one, and that list influences which searches you turn up in. Google explains it in its tips to improve your local ranking, and we go further in our guide to the Google Business Profile.

Three concrete things for today: an exact primary category (not "renovation company" if you are a "plumber"), services listed one by one under the name the customer uses, and each profile service linked to its page on the website. That connection between profile and page is one of the few things that shows quickly.

A hand-drawn website structure sketch for splitting one page per service

When NOT to split

In fairness, splitting has a limit. If you end up with twelve pages of eight lines each, you have made the site worse. Our rule, after a fair number of cases:

  • If you have real material to cover the service with any depth, split it out.
  • If two services are searched with the same words and you would say the same thing, keep them together.
  • If it is a service you do once a year and do not care about, neither split it nor list it.

Four good pages beat twelve empty ones. Google is fairly clear about what it expects from a page: that it be useful to somebody.

The order we would do it in Sabadell

  1. The two services that bill the most. Full page each, with a price or a range and finished jobs.
  2. The Google profile: category, individual services, real photos of the business and reviews answered.
  3. The third and fourth services, once the first two are getting visits.
  4. Area pages, only if you work outside the city and have something specific to say about each place.
  5. An article a month answering what people ask you on the phone. That is what brings searches all year round, and it is what our website articles are for.

The order matters more than it looks. Almost everybody starts at step 4, which is the one that pays off least.

How long it takes

A new service page usually starts moving between the first and third month. The profile reacts sooner, sometimes within weeks. And the most contested searches, the generic city-wide ones, take six months and up. We go into it in how long SEO takes to work.

If somebody promises you the top spot in Sabadell within a month, it is not theirs to promise.

What to check each month

Four numbers, and none of them is "visits":

  • Contacts: WhatsApp messages, calls and form submissions.
  • Profile searches, separating the ones carrying your name from the ones carrying the service.
  • Which pages bring people in from Google, service by service.
  • New reviews and how many you have answered.

If working out where each customer came from sounds like a foreign language, start with how to know where your customers come from, which is the cheap part and the one most people skip.

What SEO in Sabadell costs

Our prices are published and they are the same for Sabadell as anywhere else:

  • Your Landing, €100 a month. One page, hosting and one mailbox. For a single service.
  • Your Website, €200 a month. Up to ten subpages, which is exactly what this one-page-per-service business asks for, plus an article a month.
  • Basic Presence, €400 a month. Three articles on the site and three on the Google profile every month, reviews answered and GEO positioning to show up in AI answers.
  • Mid Presence, €750, with five and five plus Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns.
  • Advanced Presence, €1,500, with seven and seven.

All excluding VAT, with no lock-in and with website and email migration included. If you already have a site and only want the SEO work, we look at it case by case.

For a rough idea: a Sabadell business with four services and nothing in place usually needs two or three months of structural work before things start running on their own.

Five minutes to see where you stand

Open your phone, search your main service followed by "Sabadell" and see whether you appear, on the map or in the links. Repeat with your second service. If you show up for one and not the other, you already know which has its own page and which is buried in a list.

And if you would rather we looked, send us your website address on WhatsApp. We will tell you which services have their own page, which do not and which one we would start with. No strings, same day.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about SEO in Sabadell

Is one page per service better than a single services page?+

One per service, as long as you have real material to fill it. Google ranks pages, not websites: somebody searching for a specific service wants that service's page. With everything bundled into "Services", the title and the address cannot say what they need to, and the text for each item is too thin to compete.

Can I copy the same page and swap Sabadell for Barberà or Sant Quirze?+

No. Those are doorway pages and Google's Search spam policies call them out explicitly. What works is one page per service mentioning where you work naturally, plus an area page only when you genuinely have something different to say about that place.

How long does SEO in Sabadell take to show?+

A new service page starts moving between the first and third month. The Google profile reacts sooner, sometimes within weeks, especially if the category was wrong. Generic city-wide searches, the most contested ones, run from six months upwards. Anybody promising the top spot in a month does not control it.

What does SEO in Sabadell cost?+

The plans are published: 100 € a month for the one-page landing, 200 € for the site with up to ten subpages and a monthly article, and 400, 750 and 1,500 € for the plans adding articles on the site and the Google profile, answered reviews, GEO positioning and campaigns. Excluding VAT, no lock-in, migration included.

Do I need the site in both Catalan and Spanish?+

It depends on who you sell to, not on a rule. If your customers are from the city and the Vallès, most of them search in both languages depending on the moment and the device. It can be done properly without duplicate content or penalties, as long as each version has its own address and they are declared to each other.

Is SEO worth it if my business has no street-level premises?+

Yes, and in that case the website carries more weight than the map. With no shopfront, the service page is what decides: what you explain, the work you show and how easy it is to message you. The profile is still needed, with the service area set properly instead of a visible address.
