Almost everything written about local SEO assumes there is a neighbour at the other end looking for a hairdresser. In Cornellà, often there is not. The kind of SEO in Cornellà de Llobregat that moves real invoices is the kind that puts you in front of somebody buying on behalf of a company: a maintenance manager, a purchasing officer, a site foreman.

Cornellà: a town where the customer has a company number
One figure explains the whole thing. According to Idescat's breakdown of affiliations by size of contribution account, in Cornellà 19,395 of the 45,680 affiliations sit in accounts of 250 workers or more. That is 42.5 %, against a Catalan average of 34.7 %. Only 5,660 are in accounts of up to nine people.
Translated into customers: there are a lot of large companies here, with their units, their fleets, their offices and their breakdowns. And every one of them buys in what it does not do in-house.
Cornellà produces far more than it takes home
Another number worth keeping in mind. GDP per inhabitant in Cornellà is 50,104 €, or 126.7 % of the Catalan average. Household disposable income, on the other hand, sits at 19,180 € per inhabitant, 92.3 % of that same average, according to Idescat itself.
It is not a contradiction: it means the wealth generated in Cornellà is generated by the companies, not by household pockets. Sell to the neighbour and you compete for a tight household budget. Sell to the company and you compete for an approved one.

The person searching is not the person signing
This is the difference you feel most when writing a website. A company purchase involves at least two people: the one with the problem, who searches on Google, and the one who authorises the spend. The first needs to find you fast; the second needs to be able to justify the choice.
The four searches a maintenance manager makes
- The service plus make and model. «Screw compressor repair», or the manufacturer's name. Never «industrial services».
- Urgency. «24 hours», «urgent», «today». This one is decided in minutes.
- The individual part. They search the exact reference and land on whoever published it.
- The requirement. «Certified», «approved», «with liability insurance». It is what they will be asked for in the file.
None of those four looks anything like «electrician in Cornellà», which is what almost everybody tries to rank for.
Companies do not use the words a neighbour uses
A private customer writes «fix my shutter». A company writes «sectional door maintenance». A private customer says «air conditioning». A company says «industrial HVAC», or simply names the unit.
The way to get it right is not to guess: it is to read the emails your current customers send you and use those same words in your titles. How to pick and check them is in how to choose your keywords.
One page per service and per sector, not per town

Repeating the same page with a different town name does not work and ages badly. What does work in a setting like this is splitting by service and, once there is volume, by sector: food, logistics, chemicals, automotive. The buyer wants to read about their own world, not a generic list.
Five or six well-built pages cover nearly everything. Each with its own title, its own description and its own way of requesting a quote.
What has to come before the form
During a breakdown, a form is an obstacle. What is needed, visible and up top, is a tappable phone number, the real opening hours and, if you have one, a response commitment. «We answer within two working hours» is worth more than three paragraphs of introduction.
And a proper email address on your own domain. Whoever registers you as a supplier will paste it into an internal form, and a free mailbox counts against you there.
What convinces a corporate buyer
Price matters, but it rarely decides on its own. What closes a supplier registration is being easy to approve.
Certifications, approvals and brands
If you are an authorised service centre for a brand, say so on that service page. If you are listed in the Spanish register of accredited construction companies, say that too: on site they will ask for it before they let you past the fence. Those lines are not decoration, they are what the purchasing department needs to get you into the system.
References without names
Plenty of large companies will not let you publish their name. That is fine: «a food plant with 200 staff in the Baix Llobregat» says the same thing and breaks no agreement. Size and sector are the reference; the logo is optional.
Your Google listing works on the industrial estate too
People assume listings are a retail thing, and it is the other way round: when somebody searches for a supplier «near me» from the factory floor, the map appears before any website. Keep it with the exact address, the real hours, photos of the workshop and every service entered one by one.
The full guide is in your Google Business Profile, and it works hand in hand with the site, as we explain in web design in Cornellà de Llobregat.
In Cornellà people search during office hours

A shop gets visits on Saturday afternoon. You will get them Tuesday to Thursday, between nine and six, from a desktop computer. That changes two things: the site has to look right on a large screen and not only on a phone, and somebody has to answer the phone during those hours.
When your visits arrive is free to check in Search Console, which is the first thing we look at every month: what to check in Google Search Console.
Business services move more money here than retail
If there is any doubt about where the money is in this town, the breakdown of gross value added settles it: real estate, technical and administrative activities add up to 1,067.2 million euros, ahead of retail, which stops at 752.8. And there are 5,692 commercial vehicles registered in the town, out of a total fleet of 45,441.
Every one of those vans and lorries goes through a workshop, carries insurance, needs an inspection and sometimes a livery. That is business-to-business demand, and it gets searched for on Google like everything else.
The links that are worth something here
In a business that sells to other businesses, the good links are not on blogs: they are in the dealer finders of the brands you work with, in your trade body's directory and in the local business associations. There are few of them and each costs one email.
How to ask for them, and which ones not to bother with, is in how to get backlinks for your website.
Prices on the site when you sell to companies?
A fixed price is almost never possible, and that is fine. What does work is publishing the system: hourly rate, call-out charge, minimum invoice and what a visit includes. That filters out enquiries that do not fit and builds credibility with the ones that do.
Both sides of the argument are in should you show prices on your website.
When the one comparing is an AI
More and more buyers ask an assistant to summarise three suppliers in the area. There are no ten results there: there is one answer. Getting into it means the details on your site matching the ones on your listing, the services written in the words of the trade, and being mentioned on sites the model treats as serious.
We cover it in full in GEO positioning, and it is part of our GEO service.

The order we would work SEO in Cornellà
No magic, just order. The same for a ten-person workshop as for a forty-person engineering firm.
SEO in Cornellà de Llobregat: the first three months
- Pull the real words out of your current customers' emails and job sheets, not out of a tool.
- One page per service, in the vocabulary of the trade and with a clear way to request a quote.
- Google listing up to date, with services, hours and photos of the workshop.
- Approvals and references written where people read them, not in a buried PDF.
- The four or five links from your trade body and the brands you work with.
What to check every month
Four numbers, and none of them is «rankings». How many searches showed you and how many ended in a click, how many calls came out of the listing, which pages bring the good enquiries and how many quotes were requested. If traffic climbs and quotes do not, the problem is on the page, not at Google.
How long it takes
Industrial service searches are less crowded than retail ones, so the first movements show up sooner than people expect, even though the buying cycle is long: weeks of visits, trials and supplier registration can pass between the first search and the first order. The detailed timescales are in how long SEO takes to work.
