In Figueres plenty of customers still arrive on a recommendation, and that is fine. The problem is the other kind: the one ten minutes away, the one driving down from France for the weekend, the one who just moved here and knows nobody. That person searches on their phone and decides in half a minute. That is what web design in Figueres is really about: not being left out of that handful of daily decisions.

What people are paying for a website around here
- €300 to €700: a bought template filled in. Enough to exist. Changing anything later costs every time.
- €1,500 to €4,000: custom design, a proper structure, written copy. What usually fails is what comes after: it is delivered and nobody touches it again.
- A monthly fee: the site is part of a service with hosting, mailboxes, changes and content. Over five years it costs more if you never touch anything — but almost nobody leaves a website untouched for five years.
None of them is wrong in itself; what hurts is paying for the second and receiving the first. If they show you a design two days in, it is almost certainly a template.
One more thing worth knowing before comparing quotes: the price of the build is only half the decision. Ask what happens in month seven, when you want to add a service, change a price or swap the photos after a refit. Some quotes end at delivery and every later change is billed separately; others include it. Two numbers that look similar on paper can end up hundreds of euros apart within a year, and that difference never appears in the proposal.
What a Figueres website needs and rarely has
- Three seconds to understand what you do and where you are. It sounds obvious and half the sites in the comarca fail it.
- Phone and WhatsApp visible without scrolling. People here call; they do not fill in seven-field forms.
- Real opening hours, summer included. July and August change half the town, and a site showing winter hours in August loses customers already at the door.
- Speed on mobile. A good share of visits arrive from the street on whatever signal there is. Four seconds of waiting is one customer fewer.
The French customer exists and almost nobody plans for them
Figueres is half an hour from the border and some businesses take a significant share of their trade from there. A site that says nothing in French or English closes the door on those people by itself. You do not need to translate everything: the services page, the opening hours and how to find you is usually enough.

The Google map decides before the website does
On a phone search the first thing on screen is the map with three listings. You do not get in there by having the prettiest site: you get in with a complete listing, the right category, recent photos, hours that match and answered reviews. Google's guidelines for representing your business are stricter about addresses and names than most people assume.
So when a new client comes in, the listing is the first thing we touch: it returns calls soonest while the site and the content mature. Then come the monthly listing articles, which are what keep it alive.
What it costs with us
Published on the pricing page, plus VAT and with no lock-in:
- Your Landing, €100 a month. One page with high-performance hosting and a mailbox on your own domain.
- Your Website, €200 a month. Up to ten subpages, two mailboxes and one article a month so the site does not go stale.
- Basic Presence, €400 a month. All of the above plus migration, ten mailboxes, three articles on the site and three on the Google listing, replies to every review and positioning inside AI answers.
- Mid Presence, €750 and Advanced, €1,500, with more content, Google and Meta Ads campaigns and social media.
If your business qualifies, part of this can be covered by Spain's Kit Digital scheme, for which we are an accredited agent. It is not always worth routing a project through it, and we say so beforehand.

Three kinds of business, three different websites
Not every business in Figueres needs the same thing, and this is where most money gets wasted. Three cases we see often:
- High-street retail. What it needs is to be found, to show the product and to make opening times obvious. One well-built page with real photos, hours and location covers ninety per cent of it. Here the Google listing matters more than the site.
- Professional services — accountants, clinics, garages, lawyers. The site has to explain what you do, who for, and what happens when someone calls. It needs a page per service and copy that answers what people ask on the phone.
- Seasonal businesses. Accommodation, hospitality, activities. Here the calendar rules: the site has to be ready in spring and speak the language of the summer visitor, not get thrown together in July.
The difference between the three is not the design, it is the structure and the words. That is why the first conversation is about your business rather than about colours.
Timelines: what actually delays a website
A landing page can be live in two or three weeks; a ten-page site takes four to eight. And the uncomfortable part: what delays projects is almost never the design, it is the copy and the photos when the client has to supply them. If we write them, the deadline is ours to keep.
To start we need very little: access to your current domain, your logo if you have one, the list of services as you actually sell them, and your contact details.
Five questions before commissioning a website
- Whose name is the domain in? It has to be yours.
- Who writes the copy and who takes the photos?
- What does changing something in six months cost?
- Are hosting, backups and email on my own domain included?
- What happens to get the site into Google beyond handing it over?
Ask to see two or three sites they have built, then search Google for what those businesses sell. If none of them come up for their own service, you have your answer.
We are half an hour away, in Palamós
We are three partners: Ivan runs application and web development, Jordi handles marketing and campaigns, Izan looks after cybersecurity and data. If you have just opened, Figueres town council publishes the paperwork and local grants for shops. We work with businesses in Figueres and across the Alt Empordà, and also in Girona, Olot, Blanes, Palafrugell and Barcelona. Being nearby helps for understanding the town and the trade; for everything else, what counts is somebody working on it every month.
If you are looking at web design in Figueres and are not sure what you need, message us and we will tell you in the first conversation which option fits. And if a properly set-up Google listing and one simple page is all you need, we will say that too.
